    Paint color for brackets

    I have the TIM & AG, but not the AIM. Didn't know if this info was in the AIM, and can't locate it in the TIM....

    Wondering what color the following brackets are supposed to be;

    I'm going to call them the "wire loom" brackets for the spark plug wires, and the Distributor Cover brackets ?

    Brackets are on a 1970 LT1.

    Thanks for your help.

    Mark-----

    The distributor RF shielding support brackets (attach to intake manifold bolts) were painted engine color.

    If by "wire loom" brackets you are referring to the brackets which attach to the rear of the block with one 1/4-20 screw on each side, they were as follows:

    the bracket which has a "long, thin horseshoe" on one end into which a 4 hole grommet is inserted is painted semi-gloss black.

    The other side bracket which has offset holes on either side of the end which have an integral, "rubberized" coating for protection of the wires was originally zinc plated.
