    C2 Breather tube connection

    63 convertible, NOM

The carburetor (Holley 4160) has several vacuum connections of various sizes and locations, including 3 small ones in the base plate. Is it critical which connection the breather tube (from rear of block beside distributor) is connected to?

The 63 Corvettes all used Carter carburators. If you have the AIM you will see that there is a metal tube exiting the hole near the distributor. This tube curls around and a hose connects to it. This hose then connect to a PCV which enters the rear of the Carter carburator.

A 4160 should have a 3/8" diameter steel tube with a beaded end pressed into the baseplate just forward of the rear attaching hole on the passenger side; that's where you want to connect the line from the rear vent hole adapter - that port is designed for PCV intake.
