Correct 1981 battery and oil filter?

Can anyone help? What is the correct battery for this car and the oil filter.
Also, any ideas on where to get one.

I checked with Restoration Battery and they do not have anything newer than 1975

I don't know, off-hand, what battery was used for 1981. It should be in the 1981 JG, though. It was likely some configuration of the "Delco Freedom" battery. This battery changed somewhat over the years as to appearance features. In any event, you can be sure that it was a "maintenence-free" Delco battery of some sort. It's a fairly academic point, though. As you found, these batteries are not currently reproduced and, since they were all factory-filled with electrolyte, there probably isn't an NOS example around that's usable.

As far as the oil filter goes, that's easy. It was an AC PF-25. It had a medium blue body color and a blue paper label. This configuration was used from about 1973-74 right through the end of the C3 period.

In 1981, GM introduced the Delco Freedom II Battery in Corvettes. These batteries had blue tops, white sides, and 2 large raised squares. The battery model designation is 695, superceding both R 87-5 (standard) and R 89-5 (RPO UA1 heavy-duty). In 1980, A/C became base equipment and while I haven't checked, confidant the cranking amps were the equivalent or greater than those of the UA1 battery last used in 1980.
