58 (Mid November 57 Production) Need help with the correct orientation of the hood weatherstrip. Does it get glued to the inner horizontal surface of the hood or the "vertical" surface of the underhood structure. Also does the "fat" part of the w/s go to front of the car or toward the rear so as to make contact with hood surround lip? A pic would be awesome. TIA Ken

Ken, Mine was glued to both surfaces which are part of the inner structure. The shape of the original is more like an L with a slight curve that goes toward the hood surround. It should be a solid piece verses the hollow (or tube type) pieces that you see on the later trunks and decklids. Hope this helps, Ted
