The fan to crank belt was missing when I bought my car,it is a critical size because there is no adjustment. The belt from the dealer is too small (15312 meaning 31.2 inches). Can anyone tell me the exact size ?

What engine do you have? 390/400hp or 435hp. The 390hp has a 7" harmonic balancer and the 435hp has an 8" harmonic balancer. The engine makes a difference, as the 435hp is also a deep grove pully. With the engine info, someone should be able to answer your question.

The original belt for your application was GM #3889374. This belt is a 3/8" X 31-7/8" belt. It was discontinued many years ago. However, it is available in reproduction from sources like Quanta Products or Dr. Rebuild.
I doubt very much that you'll find a belt of this exact length from any automotive parts store-type source. Also, GM dealers don't have this size available, either.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment
