leveling body on 1957

Thinking ahead- The body is off my '57 at the moment. What is the procedure for leveling- how many shims do I start with and where, etc...

I was NOT present when the body was removed and no record of where and how many shims is available.

Start with one rubber pad and shim at the 8 locations, tighten them down, hang the doors and aline the front door area gap to the body. Then with the door strikers not installed ,you then while watching the rear door gap add shims at each rear fender while also adding shims to the radiator support to get the gap you wont. That is how simple the whole thing is , then later shim and adjust the hood,deck lid,trunk and windshield (those are harder to understand.)then the body fit.
