    in a few catalogs I have selling starters for 70-72 BB cars it will say all with M/T except M22. why does that make a difference?

    typo

    In 1968-69, the M22 cars were all L88's or ZL1 so used the small diameter flywheel. No M22 BB in 1970, but in 1971, the LS6 with M22 used the large diameter flywheel so the 8400 starter should have been OK.
