I read alot of posts on being careful in the removal of the bezel because they can break at the finest point.
Has anyone sent them out to be repaired and to whom?

Greg I broke the guage cluster bezel in my 70. It is such a clean break at the weak point that I don't even see it without specifically looking for it. I have thought about trying some J-B Weld for a repair. I broke mine about 15-16 years ago so it really is not a much needed repair as far as I am concerned. I also painted my 70 about 15 years ago and it has several chips in the paint. I still enjoy driving the car on the road, so there will be more, thats just the way it is. -

Usually just use some super glue. The break goes back together so tight that it is not noticeable after gluing.Comment

On my 71, I removed it when I gutted the interior, taped the chrome edges, lightly sand blasted it, and the cleaned it with laquar thinner, then spray painted it. That was about six years ago and it looks great and I have not lost a point on it yet. I did use my finger nails to scrape the paint off the lettering and the area arounfthe ac/heater controls. Not that hard to do. I just recently learned from here thats its fragile. So when I take it out to replace the clock, I'll be more careful than I was before.
