    I was just wandering how we are planning to test the airbags during futher PV's?

    You will be able to tell the guys who passed. They will have red faces and white powder on their clothes. (Not to be confused with police officers in front of Krispy Creme.)

      Sounds like another case for "let's say we did it" and go one to the next item.

      And Rich when they tell you that your breath smells like alcohol, do not tell them "and yours smells like doughnuts". At this point they seem to loose what little sense of humor that they may of had.

        To move away from the doughnut issue for a moment.
        Vehicles with air bags perform an electronic self-check of the system every time the ignition is turned on. If the air bag light lights momentarily and then goes out -- the system is good to go. Whether that is good enough for PV is an issue for the team leader(s).
        On another, but allied, issue -- I it might be fun to use a code scanner to read any stored codes. That would be a relatively simple process for engine codes. Anti-lock brake and air bag scanners are a little more expensive than those for powertrain codes, however.

          tery: we've had scanners in the c-1 and c-2 judging classes for years. they are aka austute judges. regards, mike.
