    C3 PO2's

I have looked at a lot of hubcaps for c3's advertised on ebay, etc. It was always my understanding that the one's that have the flat cross flag emblem in the center was for passenger cars and the raised version was for corvette. Anyone have any comment on this? Are the people that are advertising the passenger car one's for corvette missinformed?

    Thanks, Terry

yes I think most are missinformed on the corvette hub caps. but you can pick up some nice ones of the passenger cars an put on the repo center cap you will have a corvette set for say 250$ 200 for the centers an 50 for the old passenger car caps, just dont tell your corvette

I know what you mean about mixing and matching. Just a comment, I have looked at them closely in the past. Have you ever noticed the little clips attached to the back sides for balancing? I don't think very many people realized they were balanced. Terry

yeah I know about the clips on them I got two sets off ebay say of 8 hub caps an made a nice set of 4 some I had to change out the whole center to get a good cap because some had some chrome flaking an then some had some crub rubs an some did not have the clips. any way they look good an I dont have any vib problem with them like some clame. now my friends think they look like S$^T cause they are use to the ralley caps. but those are what my car came with an I like the looks!

Terry there is another version center cap it is also raised but about half that of the Corvette I believe this was for the Chevelle. The Buick Rivera also had a version the center cap had an "R" in it but change the emblem and its a Corvette. I believe that the flat center cap is for the Impala there is a 14 inch version and there are ones that the outer part of the cover has a raised hump in the middle not at the edge. There are also ones that have a gold hue to them. You just have to be real careful on ebay most people don't know what they really have and don't forget that the PO1 is slightly different then the PO2 to the uneducated eye it looks the same. Yes they were balanced. Paul 18046

I think they look nice, especially when cleaned up. They look unusual when on the car because they stick out so far. I like it. Later, Terry
