C2: Good restorer for a Frigidaire A/C unit?

Can someone recommend a really good restoration company for a Frigidaire A/C unit for a 1967? Any recommendations will be appreciated!

    Many thanks.

I have used Classic Auto Air (for my '65), Tampa, Florida (813-251-2356). They have been great to work with. Don H.

Tony - I've also used Classic Auto Air for a compressor rebuild and an evaporator core repair for my '67 and been satisfied. Be sure you give them explicit directions on what you want done. They probably will want to paint compressor; but you can tell them not to paint it or if it's the original one, be sure to tell them to not remove or paint the label. Pete

I also used Classic Auto Air in Tampa. Compressor went back after 3 hours of run time for in warranty repair; bearing noise. lasted 18 months before front seal started leaking oil. Hope you have better luck than I had.

Randy - I usually do my own work on these......make sure to use a GM ceramic seal instead of the carbon style....this is a far better seal and eliminates the problems with the seals going out. I don't recall the GM part number offhand, I have a few stashed away....Craig
