C2 Vapor Barrier Adhesive/Caulking

I'm ready to install my new door panels on my 66 roadster doors and was wondering what the best options are for the adhesive to fasten the vapor barrier to the door. I have the 3M strip caulk (dum dum) but it doesn't appear to have the sticking power as the original string caulk. Moretite brand caulking was also recommended. I assume that the original string caulk is no longer available?

Any comments on options.

The 3M black caulk that I get from LICS always works for me. It is much stickier than the Mortite dum dum.
