    Starter date code 71

    on a 1108400 starter with a OH12, what does the last # mean anyone know. I have a old judging manual, an it says at this time does not know what the last #is. does the NCRS now have that info? thanks

    0=1970 H=August 12=12th day of the month

      that is what I thought, why did they not know that in the manual. are when did the NCRS find out?

        Lyndon, I am not sure what edition of the judging guide you have, but it has been common knowledge for many years. I thought that the first edition had that info in it. But that is over 20 years ago

          No it was still in the second edition, from 93 first printing

            It's cleared defined in the current (3rd Edition) with a nicely 'decoded' example that's translated...

              If the code is, O H 1 2 ,spaced like this, then it means 1970, Aug 1st, 2nd shift.
