The french locks on my exhaust manifolds bend against the ignition shielding during installation. Assuming this is normal, what was the factory's method of dealing with this interference?

...The bolt locks, with one ear bent, only deal with one hex of one exhaust bolt per application. If you are installing them correctly, they should never come close to being in contact with any other part of your car. If so, we need to talk... Best, Dennis- Top

Rob,
Sounds like you figured it out. Yes, the straps had to be moved/bent to install shielding and there was no particular direction as far as correct goes. Some were pushed in at assembly and others were pulled out so either would be correct.- Top
