Nice picture Joe!
Were they all stamped with "St. Louis" and the part number or am I missing something obvious here?

That is a great question..that I do not have the answer to. It would be an interesting survey of 1964 owners!

Another little detail that has probably gone by..unrecognized.

Yes Joe!
I don't think that I've ever heard this mentioned and I've never seen the stamp kit for replication either, at least not for sure for 1963.

and would they be stamped on both ends of the gas-tanks ?

Looks like they were stamped both sides. From the picture they look stacked alternately and you can see a stamp on the bottom and the top section in the pictures. Neat picture keep them coming.
