I am looking for the a flywheel for my 54 vette and have not been able to find one. I believe that flywheel part no. 3705386 will work and was used in 50-54 chevy passenger cars with powerglide. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated in locating a flywheel for my 1954 6 cylinder 235 cu. in. engine.

GM #3705386 is, indeed, the flywheel that you require. I can't tell you where to locate one but you may be able to find an aftermarket-type unit that will service your application. It won't be "correct" and "original" but few will ever know. Also, it may be of superior construction. Check with Northern Automotive at www.northernautoparts.com. Remember, though, if they can help you at all, it will be with a replacement type unit, NOT an NOS or used one.In Appreciation of John Hinckley
