Cleaning Gold Cadmium items for C3

Is it possible to clean and polish the tarnish from these items? For example the windshield wiper access door actuator valve and head light actuator valves.

If so what did you use to clean them.

If not has anyone ever tried this product from eastwood?

Anything you rub on the actuator will remove the gold color, even a cotton cloth.
Many have tried the paint. It makes a wonderful faux finish, so long as you don't plan on having your car judged. It will not fool anyone who is knowledgeable.

I don't even think it fools the non-knowledgeable.

I've tried it on my driver. It's paint, and it looks like paint.

I was fortunate to have a plater do a remarkable job on those pieces as well as some others. Unfortunatly, this plater as well as many others are gone, due to environmental issues. Depending on where you are located, there may be a few left around.

Eastwood paint kit is garbage will never look like Cadmium. I do a Zinc Dichromate conversion that is exact match to the cadmium color if you need peices done let me know what you have.
