    Heater Hose Routing

Finally getting the engine back into my 1966 327 coupe, no A/C. Minor issue that is driving me crazy. When I took out the engine and disconnected the heater hoses there was a bracket (heater hose clip) around the hoses, but was not bolted to anything and just hanging on the hoses. In routing the hoses the 1966 Corvette Technical Info Manual states the clip is bolted to the inner fender well, however I can not find the hole. I do not know if the fender well has been replace or not. Can someone tell me exactly where the hole should be on the fender well or where the bracket should be mounted. Thanks?

    Re: Heater Hose Routing

If you are referring to the Judging Manual -- it is wrong for a 66 small block. The AIM shows the routing which uses two hose clips, neither of which is anchorerd to any body part but hang in free space inside the engine compartment. If memory serves me right, the 66 big block had an anchored clip.
