My 1973 car has D22 on the trim plate, so is that is Nov 22? I need to find a block. I have the original heads and intake. Anyone have any ideas on how to find one.

A good starting point would be to consult the 73 TIM & JG for the correct casting #'s for your car. Then another good point would be to advertise in the Driveline (free for members) in the want ad section.Dick Whittington -

www.ebay.com is an auction service. Search under ebay motors section (cars and parts) look in both parts and collector car parts. A 454 block for a 1973 isn't all that hard to come by, you can get a true Corvette block for about $250 to $400 if you're lucky, if all you want is the correct casting and date, a pickup truck block will set you back about $200 to $250.
