I didn't know an original '69 427 had a 6000 tach red line, hmmmm, look at the tach.

Must have started life off as a 350-350 as that was the only 69 that used a 6,000 red line tach.

Before long I'll own the only SB '69 on the planet.

why clone a 390 HP car?

If the seller were building a big block clone, why do a 390 HP car, there were as many originals as the 350 HP cars and the cost of the "clone" matching numbers engine would eat up any increase in the "value" of the car as 390 HP 1969's aren't that rare. I would bet more on the swapped tach theory!

Maybe you just answered your own question

Why not fake an underdog... Heck, who would do that anyway?
