'69 GM blue door decals

Where exactly do the blue GM decals go on the doors? I can't find them in my AM.

The blue certification label was applied to the driver side door in the area between the "slot" for the door lock receiver and the upper lock retaining screw (phillips head with star washer). The right edge of the label was positioned about 3/4" to the left of the inner edge of the body color painted door end panel. However, I do not believe that the placement of these labels was a "precision" operation.

Joe, I see the problem. I was talking about the blue small square with the embossed GM. I've heard it referred to as the mark of excellence sticker.

1967 was the only year that used the sticker that you referred to. As Terry says, they were never used on 1969s.

Thanks guys. I guess that's what I get for going to Knoxville. Some "expert" told me they went on a '69. That might be one reason I couldn't find them in the AM.

I have seen a 68 that was very very untouched. I don't know what its production date was but it had the GM stickers on the end of the doors. It was an original paint car very survivor looking. Actually, it was incredibly untouched. Just what I have seen. Terry
