C3- Dealer info Zone 02 Dealer 438

I have been feverishly researching historical info on my 1968 Corvette. I hope someone can help me unravel this mystery. I have the tank sticker to my car indicating zone 02 and dealer 438. Additionally, I have the original registration for the car which was registered in Tuckahoe NY( So I assume the original owner bought it near by). I have researched the NCRS database and contacted Triple A Enterprises( who said he had over 300 dealers in Zone 02 but not 438) without luck. Any help would be very much appreciated. Keith

What city was zone 02?

I have a Pittsburgh list from 1998, which includes the old Buffalo zone. Lots of NY towns listed.

However, Tuckahoe is well over 400 miles from Buffalo. That area is possibly now in Philadelphia zone, unless there is also a zone office in NYC.

I do recall that dealer number 427 was (or is) in Central Square, NY, which is north of Syracuse. I do not know if that was ever in zone 02.

Can you associate a city with 02 ?

I had a 70 BB car that came from Fleet Chevrolet in Mt. Vernon, NY. They were dealer 02 217. If you look under Zone 02 in the Database you will see Zone 02 covered what looks to be southeastern New York and western Connecticut. At least you have a place to start.

Thanks to those who replied. I was helped by Al Grenning who had a pretty complete list of mid to late 60's dealers.
