C2 67 COUPE pillar weatherstrip

On a 67 coupe there is a 6" weatherstrip attached to the pillar post using a combination of screws and a rivet. (Note this weatherstrip is unique to a coupe. It is longer on a convertible)

The 67 AIM shows this piece to have 2 screws and a rivet. Mine had 3 screws and a rivet. I don't know if the sdditional screw was added by a previous owner.

I purchased a new weather strip which had only 2 screw holes but instructions to drill a third screw hole in certain cases. The part covers all C2 coupes.

So, does a 67 coupe have 2 screws plus a rivet (as shown in the AIM) or 3 screws plus the rivet?

Both situations are correct. I can't recall what years I've seen two, but my 67 has three on both sides. The strip you have has the hole nearest the rivet missing........correct. Im recalling from memory, but that 3rd screw hole does not have a recess for the screw to sit in. That screw also has a small flange around the head the other two screws do not have this flange.

The "missing hole" is closest to the rivet end. Are the screws in the "existing holes" phillips or straight slot? Mine had straight slots... again possibly replaced along the way....

I guess I should answer my own post..... The info is in the Judging manual. I just had a "senior moment"
