Sam Folz Award at the '05 National Convention

Will this award be given at the National Convention? I have not seen anything in the judging information or on the registration forms. I'd like to attempt to acheive this award if possible. The car has recently been flight judged and I will be driving almost 1000 miles on the Road Tour to get to Salt Lake City. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

James, I'm confident it will be given to...

...one or more worthy applicants. I don't know why it would have not been included in the National Ap, but suggest you read NCRS Judging Reference Manual regarding that award unless you are familiar with the pre-req's and then contact Roy Sinor whose contact info is readily available. I'm sure he'll have all the answers you need. Of course, maybe because of the structure of that particular award, you need not specifically apply, other than having your car Flight Judged, - you just win it if you win it... Best, Dennis

James With the meet in the west I think their will be some east coast person that will have lots more than 1000 miles on one of the road tours.

the very first folz award(and the only year where a single corvette got the folz) was won by chris herring in a 54 corvette. Baltimore,md to Bend, or. seem to recall it was 3200 miles one way--the road tour that year took every dog leg between the east and west coast. one nite we didn't get to the hotel till after 1 pm. drove thru some free range state out west dodging heifers(4 legged ones, that is). the old 54 vet was one the cover of the Restorer the following spring. mike
