I have the original dated #3367 for my '66 small block. It has a service replacement on it now and runs well. What are the chances that if I rebuld the original, it won't leak if I don't have the mating surfaces machined flat? I'd really rather not totally disassemble it if it's not necessary. I suppose I can always try it find out. I saw some blue gasgets at the auto store for these carbs that are advertised not to fall apart when removed. I thought maybe there are gasgets that would help prevent any leaks if in fact the surfaces are not totally flat

Re: '66 ORIGINAL #3367 CARB MATING SURFACES
the blue gaskets are "non stick" which are great for racers who are always changing jet BUT i prefer the "brown" ones because they stick to the surfaces and IMHO seal better if the surfaces are not flat and true. if the float bowls are "warped" and they can not be trued i use 2 brown gaskets to help make the seal better.- Top
