65 Seat Upholstery

I'm ready to do a re-upholstery job on my seats for my 65. Since they've already been done once, and poorly at that, should I buy (or locate) one of the videos that they sell for do-it-yourselfers or just try to figure it out on my own? I bought everything to do it from Al Knoch and want them to turn out right. Also, any advice from a past tech discussion that anyone knows of would be appreciated. I searched but didn't find what I was looking for. Any help at all would be very much appreciated!

You just paid over $200 for seat upolstery. You want to do it correctly. Why not invest in the video. If it saves even one "oops" then its paid for itself.

Actually, over $4oo since the seats are leather. I just wanted to make sure the video that they offer is worth it. Sounds like it would be a good investment. John Kennedy (the upholstery expert, not the President)is in my neighborhood, but he has way too many projects, so I thought I'd tackle it myself. Thanks for the advice.

I know of two excellent shops who will do the job for $400 (labor).

Are you saying I shouldn't try it myself? You must know me or have seen my work in the past.....

Good question. I was planning on getting the video that Al Knoch sells for seats, but that may be the same one that CC sells. If there's a better one, I'd like to hear what it is. Any input out there on which one is the best?
