Hi everyone
this is my first post on here so I hope it works.
I have a '65 coupe that was body-off restored just before i purchased it last year. Everything was done except the paint and it's in the shop now getting a new paint job.
We choose to go with BC/CC instead of lacquer (it's an excellent driver car - I don't take it to NCRS judging so I'm not worried about not using lacquer paint on her again).
The problem is that my shop's PPG paint supplier is having a very difficult time getting the color tint correct. We have already had 4 sample pints from them and the color is off on each one - either too brown or too red or too much metallic, etc.
has anyone found a good way to match up or a good formula to use to get the correct Milano Maroon color tint using the newer modern BC/CC PPG paints?
After 7 months at the body/paint shop being worked on this seems to be the biggest problem or hold-up we have come across!
thanks for any help!
Barry
