Center storage light 69 convert.

I need the switch and light for my car that goes in the center compartment. I have looked in all the popular catalogs and can't seem to find any.If I can't find one could I put a small switch like a door jam switch in line and then put it in the hole in the surround like it is supposed to be?As a last resort will this work?Thanks in advance. I'm putting in new carpet so I want to get all these little things fixed now. Thanks again.

You're looking in the wrong catalogs. Dr. Rebuild has them, both NOS and reproduction---take your pick.

Thanks again, I looked in Eklers, Corvette central and Volunteer, and none of those had them.I will get ahold of Dr. Rebuild today. Thanks again.

It's real hard to get a hold of Dr. Rebuild. Folks have been trying to do this for years. I'm told he "greases himself down" with a very light application of NOS GM #1052084 lubricant. That keeps folks that are trying to get a hold on him from doing so. They've tried, of course, but due to his tricky little scheme, he slips right out of their grasp every time.

Anyway, if you call Dr.Rebuild, I'm sure that Debbie will be able to take care of you. Don't mention about the GM #1052084, though; I'm sure it's a sore subject with her.
