Some where in the vast internet there has to be a Dodge site. This site is supposed to be dedicated the Restoration, Preservation, and Enjoyment of CORVETTES. Please respect that.

      John, John, John.....

U surprise me by your post. I have to disagree with you, nothing wrong with a change of topic. We all know that all members have or have owned Corvettes. It's interesting to read what other exotic cars our members own or have owned. Nostalgia, a trip down memory lane, reliving the good ol' days, memories of our youth. Nothing wrong with that.

Heck, I could write a book about my 57 Chevy 210 fueler, but a topic hasn't come up yet, else I would.

...forever. Seems like everyone's got a story about what's better than a Vette. Sorry for helping them in the door in the first place. Just checking out the competition. TBarr #24014

Please George, this site is for NCRS, not NchevyRS! We love you, George but Corvettes ONLY please. Thanks, Bob

I have mixed feelings on this one. While I respect the Joe Lucias and Jack Humphreys of the board the most, ( they seldom enter into the "opinions" and deal in hard information), I also enjoy the recollections of years and cars past. I am only comfortable in answering shark questions, for the most part, because I am relatively sure of my responses accuracy, yet I enjoy offering an opinion or three. I also understand Johns concern for the purity of this board. A year or so ago this board consisted almost entirely of technical questions, if you wanted a heated debate all you had to do was look at Karl's Corvette Web, the significant term here is "was", Karl's is no longer because it had so totally disenfranchised itself from Corvettes that Karl got sick of editing the crap out. I think the contributors to this DISCUSSION board will not let this happen here but what is to stop it should it take a turn in that unpleasant direction ? John seems to take a hands off approach in most cases and does an admirable job to say the least and I would miss participating in an opinion oriented debate but he may very well be correct in his attempt to protect the nature of this board and should he become tired of managing a board that deterred from it's intended purpose he would be very hard to replace if not impossible.

Re: Enough ! Dodge Daytona/Plymouth Superbird

The point is a member asked a question - Another member just happens to know quite a bit about the suject - is this not what we do on this ????? We ask questions on topics we need help with or know little about. If we think our Corvettes are sooo special and different - we need to wake up - there are alot of great cars out there. Some are faster and better than a vette and alot are not - This is why we are called individuals - and have personal preferences. If you read the thread - a member wanted to know more about a subject. That information was provided. - Yes this site is for Corvettes - agreed -
              1954 Corvette #3803 - Top Flight 2012, Bloomington Gold 2012,
Triple Diamond Award 2012, Gold Concourse Award 2012, Regional and National Top Flight 2014
1954 Corvette #3666 - "The Blue Devil" - Pennant Blue - restoration started
1957 Corvette - FI 3 sp - Black and Silver

                Re: It's o-k Chris....

...I'm not bashful, everyone knows it was me. John has a responsibility to maintain and I respect him for that too. Actually, I could have been a little more specific since I know of a Vette owner that more recently wanted to race a Superbird. I grew up owning a Vette while some of my friends worked on Mopars, and actually I didn't remember some of the Mopar specs. Since I recently came across the race situation I mentioned, then I just wanted a working knowledge of what could be expected side by side. TBarr #24014

The point is that every non-Corvette message shoves a possible useful one off the end - Vettes only please

                    Jerry,

I agree with you. Although I have nothing against other makes, this is a Corvette site - and by far the best one I have ever run into. I think we can all agree that there have been one or two other automobiles that crept into the realm of acceptable, but there are websites for them, too. What really surprised me was the chat room at the NCM - when I tried to discuss some technical issues I was told to bugger off! That's another reason I agree with John about keeping this website focussed.

                    My two cents...

So I can't tell you the story how I discovered a 67 Camaro Pace Car here in Belgium and bought it for 1000$
