Is there a C1 Fastener ID manual ?

Does anyone know if there any reference source to help identify C1 fasteners and where used by head markings, finishes, sizes and thread counts? I have a poster from Paragon that is helpful but not complete by itself.

    Clare,

I have compiled a list and catalogue of the bolt head markings, finishes, sizes and thread count that for years now I have been trying to put into an article for the restorer magazine. I have compiled this information from my own restorations along with about a dozen other individuals who took the effort to do the same

As you can guess this is not a small amount of information that does not easily transcribe itself into a two page article, so it has not been publised. Email me at Rickb1873@aol.com and we can discuss offline how to get the information to you.

There are probably a lot of people interested in this subject including myself. Can I get on the information? I am at wilesa@drmc.drhsi.org.

I would like to add my name to the "wish list" - It would certainly seem reasonable to pay something to cover the cost of reproducing and shipping the information.

Put my name on that list, would gladly pay for time and trouble.

            The response has been overwhelming.........

to my offer to supply Clare with a copy of the head bolt markings, resuling in my email being flooded with request for a copy of my document.

To all of the individuals who have emailed me (and there are many)I will attempt to create a version that is more easily copied. At the moment we are talking about a 2 inch stack of paper, and with 50 or so copies a lot of trees will be sacrificed (along with a lot of postage) to make this happen.

Bottom line, be a little patient while I come up with a plan to meet this request.

I responded by a post and did not want to send you an individual e mail. Please make sure I am also on the list. Happy to pay for this information.
