The Western Regional, in Berkeley of all places, is the weekend of April 22-23. Does anyone know that April 22 is "earth day".

If certain groups find out there is a vintage Corvette meet in Berkely on earth day, it wouldn't surprise me if the event draws a crowd of protesters!

At the Berkeley Marina, across the road from the Cesar Chevez park -- a fine venue for protesting. Right where Scott set out to dump Laci. Such history!!

Damn didn't even see that till now and I have that week off. Now I'll have to pay the late fee's. I having my car judged this weekend at the SoCal local and think I'll wait to see if I should just enter Sportsman, or get it judged again.

Yea, Duke. I hear that they're going to set up a temporary smog check booth in Spenger's parking lot per AB 2683. Don't bring any nitro, I'll bring the Grappa. Ha, Ha!

Spenger's got pretty well panned by the Dhron when it re-opened. I must say that the service was terrible when I was last there Christmastime. AND, the food was no great shakes.

Well, I missed the registration deadline, too, so I doubt if I'll be there, but I will be at the SCC chapter event at the Petersen Museum on Saturday.

Maybe those of us in So Cal who missed the WR deadline can get together and celebrate earth day together. Be sure to bring your Corvette or some other interesting vintage car.

BTW, Sacramento is at it again. The IMRC had written a letter to Schwarzenegger recommending ANNUAL emission tests for cars over 15 years old. No provision for low mileage exclusion or limited use as far as I know.

I'm just absolutely disgusted with this state and the crackpots that are running it.

I'm sure there will be exceptions, grants, vehicle purpose programs, etc., etc., etc. for those that are not able to financially afford to repair their cars - no matter how many miles they drive and no matter how much #$%^&*( crap they spew into the air. Just GOD FORBID your car predates smog equipment and is only driven a few miles a year.

I'll be there with the L88. If they protest, we'll do a couple of fly-by's.

Nothing like a little unburned hydrocarbons to work up the crowd... :-)

Notwithstanding my tougue-in-cheek comments, I actually have some concerns that there could be some problems! There are a lot of...aaaaaah "out-of-the-mainstream" people in Berkeley!
