Re: '66 ORIGINAL POWER ANTENNA DATE
Rob - I think they all we supposed to be dated but it appears that sometimes the date stamping effort was less than what we would like to see and it's very faint. Exactly what you did not want to hear.
My experience is that the date information is on the case and in either one of the two lower segments of the six segmented area defined by the shaft end receptor support structure on the case. The format of the information is an "A", then the month as one digit or two digits, a dash, and then the last two digits of the year. Below that sequence of alphanumbers is the numbers 5045511. Note the A is twice the size of the numbers.
An example is -
A 2-66
5045511

Re: '66 ORIGINAL POWER ANTENNA DATE
Rob, as scarce as cores have become you will probably have to take what you can get. 20 years ago everywhere you looked there were cores to be bought. 10 years ago, you had to hunt hard to find one at a swap meet. 5 years ago you could go to four or five swap meets and not see one, core or rebuilt. So many were junked when they became inoperatable.
Lotsa luck and carry plenty of cold cash, you will need it.Dick Whittington- Top
