Just from my experience with my 71 (2709 vin) it had the T-3 the larger in the center of the beam. Only my original high beams were left when I got the car . Hope this helps.

T-3 headlights
Anyone want to clear up something for me? Lately, I've had some luck locating original T-3 headlights, some NOS, some used and unsmoked with the small T-3 in the six o'clock position. Since I have a survivor '71 roadster, I'm trying to figure whether these babies are the right ones for my car. I have seen articles stating that the "small T-3" headlamps were used on '71 and early 72 Corvettes while other articles state that "small T-3" headlamps were only used on late '71 and early '72 Corvettes with the remainder of the '72 year being Power Beam lamps. My problem is that my car is an early car (#2054)and I wonder which lamps are correct.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Re: T-3 headlights
David,
I purchased a '71 LT-1 (#11130)from its original owner several years ago. The car sat in storage for 17 years and has 42K miles (still sitting, still has 42K miles). At least two of the four original headlights are on the car and they both have the large T3 in the center.
Hope this helps!
