58-62 wiper transmision wire cable lengths??????

does some one know the exact lenghts of the wiper transmision cables for the 1958 to 1962 era ?

With the inner cable fully extended,and the two tips held together, they measure 20-1/8" from the center of the shaft to the beginning of the cable stops. They could be a fraction longer, but no shorter.

From My past Restorer Article (1993?)

Thank you to Dwight Farmer for the information on the wire cable lengths (when new) from GM. The length of the wire cables on windshield wiper transmissions are: on the driver's side the top wire is 25 inches long and the bottom wire which is attached to the lower spool is 24.2 inches
long.

On the passenger side the wire cables are 25.8 inches on the top, and 23.8 inches on the bottom which is attached to the lower spool.

NOTE: The cables on my old wiper transmission from the driver's side were, top 24-1/2 inches, bottom 23-1/2 inches.

The shaft, itself, protrudes about 1/16 inch out of the bottom of the lower spool.
