    C1 fuel filters

You can see by the pic. this filter which is the large dome AC early one is dated 83=1983. Correct in every way as original but for the inside date code.
How many C1 people think NCRS should make owners open it to check date?
53 up were all dated to the year vett installed, even the flat cover AC's and early FI filters.

    Roy,

Not a C1 person right now, but hopefully in the future. This explains the clock dial question in my post, mine must be a 2001 fuel pump?

So what you're saying is that I need to ask what # is stamped on the underside of the GF-48 fuel filter I'm currently bidding on?

Some day I'm actually going to succeed in buying a correct part for this car.....8-)

Don't be startin' vicious rumors, Roy....

NCRS tain't going to be encouraging fuel leaks on the judging field by having owners drop their fuel filter sediment bowls! Your car's fuel pump, starter gear, pistons and a myraid of other obscure/hidden parts are also dated and these are disassembled/removed during judging...

              Joe,

Thanks for all of your knowledge. It has been very helpful in restoring my 62. I'll come down against openig fuel filters ect. to check the date. See the post about silk screening the label on a oil canister, $124.00. Let's measure the cost of rules changes against the ability of the average person to pay the additional cost of reproducing fuel filters for each year. I have owned my car since 1971, and am interested in putting my car as close to original as I can afford. Please let us not make it more difficult, especially for thing no one can see.

              Thanks

The more of this I read, the more I'm convinced never to have my car judged.
