Is the VIN tag on a '65 riveted with round rivets or rosette rivets?

Round early; switching to Rosettes later ...

I'd guess at VIN 7000 range, but others may be more precise.

Wayne. I looked at a '65 coupe built on 2/12/65 (per NCRS Wisconsin website) and it has round rivets on the VIN tag. I want to make sure it is correct.

Any other feedback will be appreciated from anyone.

According to Noland Adams' survey data (pp 54, Vol 2 book), all '65 Corvettes reported round style pop-rivets until SN 7811. After that, reports were mixed between round and rosette head styles for quite a while; as late as SN 9990....

Agree w/Jack; coupe 9180 has round VIN rivets

From an eBay photo album I've accumulated.

Couldn't find reference to the rivet style in the '65 TM & JG; or am I just missing it ?

It was covered in earlier manuals, likely dropped when it became a Team leader function to check.
