C2 - 63 340 Fuel Filter

I received the Duntov Award in 1997 with my 63 Coupe. My car is a 340hp, is the correct fuel filter black w/white letters or silver w/red letters? My car currently has a black filter w/white letters.

controversial subject. if its an early solid lifter 63, i prefer silver canister with black or possibly red ink stamping.ya definitly don't want a filter with notches cut on the six sides of the inlet and outlet nipples like the NORS filters.when's the approximate build date of your 340 hp 63? mike

Like Mike said - controversial subject. My sequence number is about 900 ahead of yours and the original GF-90 was black with white lettering.
