Do the 66/67 judging guides not deal with the casting numbers of bellhousings? Are these not judged at all? What are the correct casting numbers for 66 427/390 and 67 427/435 cars. Thanks.

Re: 66/67 BB Bellhousings
Rick and Mark-----
Yes, most, if not all, 1966 Corvette 427s used bellhousing GM #3872444 and 1967 427s used bellhousing GM #3899621. These bellhousings are, I believe, functionally interchangeable, though. Both are designed for use with a 14"flywheel(168 tooth ring gear)for an 11" clutch.
1964 thru 1967 Corvettes with 327s and 1965 Corvettes with 396 used bellhousing GM #3840383(sometimes identified by the number 3858403). It is possible that some 1966 L-72s also used this bellhousing. This bellhousing is designed for use with a 12-3/4" (153 tooth ring gear) flywheel for a 10.4" clutch. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
