C3 Rear Storage Area Lamp

I recently discovered I have a rear storage lamp after I removed the carpeting from my '69. It's centered on the rear bulkhead. Does this lamp always remain on? If not, how do you turn it on? Does anyone know if this is being reproduced?

No it should only come on when the doors are opened or when the headlight switch is turned all the way to one side. Yes it is reproduced, as well as the lens.

These lights all came on by applying a ground to them, usually through the door switches. So if this one is on all the time, it is possible the wire has been cut and shorted to ground somewhere on its way to the middle of the car.
