Clutch cross shaft lub fitting

Before we went off line temporarily we had a thread going on the cross shaft zerk fitting/plastic plug controversy. We established that '63s had a zerk and the '65 AIM shows a plug. So that leaves 1964, and it's come down to when in '64 the change occured - start of production or a running change. Someone out there must have a '64 AIM. Could you check the appropriate sheet and let us know the deal including any relevent info in the change record. Thanks!

Relative to the 1964 AIM, sheet C1.00 section 7 with a release date of 4-23-63 specifies the use of a GM #3828498 plug. There is no reference whatsoever to a running change.

Based on the AIM it appears that the plug in the cross shaft was implemented at the beginning of '64 production.
