    Ref. My gas tank filler neck delima. I found the problem, the new gas tank hold down straps I purchased from LIC were about 1/2 inch too short. I replaced the new straps with my original straps and everything centered and fit like it was supposed too.
    Thanks to all of you for the suggestions and help.

          Floyd - Good news and thanks for the feedback. Bummer of a "lesson learned." But, it points out to all of us that it is important to compare new and reproduction parts with the originals if possible so things like this can be avoided. Have fun and glad all of us only had to provide advise and didn't have to do all the work. Pete
