C1 Paint color on cowl linkage

Where does the exterior color stop and the black start? The screen is color and the hardware is black. Is the link to the handle black? 1960

I asked the same question at the judging retreat. I was told the hinges are black and the cowl is color. The round rod that comes down is black with color overspray on it closest to the cowl.
