I am restoring my 57 to "original". I am having a hard time deciding on a radiator. Anybody know which radiator will give me maximum service with maximum judging points?

Fred, Siggest you call Tom DeWitt (of Dewitt Radiator) and ask him for is opinion. I listened to Tom's presentaton at last years National. If I recall correctly (slim chance of that) I believe you may have two choices, one an aluminum copy and the other copper and brass copy. Both are received painted black. Both have different cooling capacities. Do check with Tom.Hope this of help. Regards, -

Check with E-Bay by any 55 to 58 just to get the top and bottom tanks and strap because you can get the right core about $100.00 more then just an ordinary one and then you have a real one radiatorComment

Fred,
Be aware that the Dewitt radiators as advertised in Corvette Central are replacement not reproduction radiators. The top tank is obviously different and the captive nuts are in the wrong location. I agree with Roy that if you are looking for a correct radiator your best bet is to locate a used unit and recore it.
