    4657 Fuel Pump Rebuild.

When rebuilding the 4657 fuel pump is it mandatory to replace the two valves and the actuating lever?

I'm rebuilding two, one is very dirty and clogged I know I must replace these parts, but the other one is very clean on the inside.

    Thank You

    Harry

No it's not necessary if the two valves are OK ( blow and suck) at the intake and out fitting to see if they are OK , but I would not change the actuating arm at all but the seal.

Roy, thanks for the post. That seal looks like it will be fun to get out! Any suggestions.

      Thanks

Well if you think the engine oil was not getting in to the pump for get it, but I pry it out with a screw driver then tap it back in.
