56 or 57 body???

I know I'm asking a handful of owners , but what is the differences from a 56 Corvette body compared to a 57??
Or lets put it this way if you saw a Corvette body only , I mean only Fibberglass how could you tell if it were a 56 or 57.

The only diferences that I know of is that the late 57s had reinforcements in the door posts, dash and doors. Also later cars had a little different rain gutters under the door post on the body .

Power top cars are a no "brainer", as a 57 top is different than a 56 and the drilled holes are different. 56 has the toggle switches on the gas cover, no switches in the rh lower door area, also 56's do not have the micro switches/cover behind the seat separator.

There are other running changes in the bodies including the additional bonding adhesive around the upper grill cut out opening of amid range 56 up.

Also look in the gas door opening for evidence of a vented or non cap. You will have a clip in here on about serial #2000 57 and up.

A 56 washer bag bracket has different holes than a 57 washer bottle as the mounting bracket was different.

This is a guess but I think in 58, my 57 had them. And that's a great question .
