Pros/Cons of white wall

Are there any pros or cons of buying white wall or blackwall tires other than personal preference? I am planning on ordering 5 Kelsey tires for my red 62 for judging. Will probably order some nice radials and mags for everyday driving some time this summer.

It's a personal preference. Mine is blackwall.

In '63 the standard or optional nylon cord blackwalls were mounted on wheels painted body color - at least on the outside, not sure about the inside. The whitewall option was mounted on gloss black painted wheels

Not sure if the above practice applies to '62, but your JG should tell you.

For judging? Or for the mags used for driving around? What size mags?

You can get higher rated tires in blackwalls in the 205/75-15 size that's used on the 5" rims on C1s. If you use wider rims, I don't know.
