c1 water pump

trying to restore 57 best I can the (J.M.) says that the heater nipple is cad plated witch my is, so should I paint the pump orange and tape off the cad nipple or just paint everything, seems other items that are cad are left cad,
also I could find it in the archieves ,but there seems to be a clip on the bottom of oil panwhat bolt does it go in and what wire does it hold
thanks allot for all you guys expert help I just witsh these little items on the motor would have been kept on the darn thing

Paint it all , the hose will seal any way, your 911 water pump have a FLAT rear plate using pan head screws???
