    Clock C2

There are three wires coming from my clock (1965) The center wire just unplugs. Can anyone tell me how to disconnect the outside two black wires. Do they unplug? ...unscrew .... or ????? The black wires go into a silver connector and I didn't want to take a chance breaking anything. Thanks ...Ed

I believe you are looking at the lamp sockets that plug into the back of the lamp case and just snap out of the the clock housing.

A related C2-clock question. To improve clock face illumination at night, does it makes sense and is it safe to utilize a higher candle power type bulb than the standard bulb (I believe the standard bulb # is 1819?) Also, I assume that cleaning the ground contacts would help (the bulb socket contact with back of the clock)

The correct lamp # for the clock is 1816.
