I spoke with the "Teak Freaks" at Carlisle, 2002 and they offered a plastic wheel restoration service, apparently using the ground-up (and presumably melted) plastic rim material from wheels sent to them for conversion to teak wheels. The samples I saw looked as good as new. I'm not sure, but I think the price was around $150.

I'd like to find out if anyone has found a glue

Has anyone found an adhesive that blends with the wood grain color. I know there are brown and black adhesives on the market. Sounds easy enough to fill the cracks, sand and shoot the wheel with a clear coat like the wheel guys do.

Out of curiosity I mixed up some epoxy

using a cream base color epoxy I mixed in some brown and black pigment and I think it matches the color of my 67 wheel dead on. I dabbed some on a small crack to see how the color holds when dried. Now I need to figure out how to squeeze enough into the cracks to fill them completely, maybe a syringe might work.
