I was able to buy one of these years ago and had some made. I sent a hardtop to glassworks along with two of them and they now install them on all of their restored tops. I was told because the braze didn't stick well as one took the top off and it twisted and came loose that they were discarded.

Most vetts are missing them or don't know , is it in the JM?? I don't have any JM books,

Not in the JM and most judges don't look for them.

Roy, I really enjoy your post. I new something didn't look correct on my HT moulding. Does anyone reproduce these or is it something I can make? Keep the information coming. Thanks, Jimmy

You can easily make them , but I hear some company restoring hard tops now makes them . just use JB weld to set them in. Now you can send an article to NCRS and change the JM.
